Food Safety Management System certification applies to organizations in the food chain that implement prerequisite programmes, hazard analysis, operational controls, communication and HACCP-based principles to ensure food safety.
A certification body applying to MBAS for accreditation under this scheme shall demonstrate conformity to ISO/IEC 17021-1 and ISO/TS 22003 / ISO 22003 scheme requirements, MBAS accreditation procedures, applicable IAF mandatory documents and relevant statutory/regulatory requirements.
